Doug can also re-enlist with the signal integrity list using another
e-mail address--a dummy one set up just for posting to the list. He can
mention his real e-mail address within the body of the message. And he
can ignore any e-mail received at the dummy address. This way his
regular e-mail box should remain unaffected by si-list postings.

Dougs problem seems to be that he has to download the mail and or the
headers before he can filter them and on a slow connection that can take
forever, and if he can't delete them on the server then they get down
loaded which takes even longer.  Thus he can't read his important mail
until all 'our' spam has been downloaded.
