Santhosh, Inrush is the result after accounting for the: power
source, interconnect, input, and reflected output impedance versus
the power source voltage. But more to the point, for any substantial
input capacitor, the inrush will be much more than connectors can
safely tolerate. Some form of active soft-start or at a bare minimum
NTC thermistor limiter is called for on all power systems of any
significant wattage. Once you enter the realm of soft-start, you
have many options to address the trade-offs that matter in your system.
