Hi Everyone,
Does anyone knows of better insulator material or any other solution
that can reduce the impedance change on top layer strip line.
Based on our current routing plan, most of the high-speed lines will be
microstrip line on the top layer. Therefore, most of the trace will be
under the docking plate that will attach the board to tester for
automation purposes, with 2 mm thick insulator (G-10 material, er=5,
loss tangent = 0.019 @ 1MHz) between the board and the plate, apparently
the line impedance will be changed , and a 50 ohms trace will become 41
ohms.
any help will be appreciated
thanks
Mohsen
