Peter: Hi. Hspice has a 2-D field solver in it that can help you do the RLGC matrices. I'm not sure which versions of Hspice have it. I have version 2000.4 and it is in there. I believe it was added in 1999 sometime. There are some examples in the Hspice manuals that can get you going or I can send you some examples if you like. Good luck and I hope your Hspice version has this feature. I do not have access to a field solver to create the necessary RLGC information needed for the W-Element. We have a spectraquest license and I had heard that I could export a net from either sigexplorer to HSPICE compatible format or from a board layout in spectraquest. Is there anyone who has experience doing this. I would have contacted cadence, but I believe that there is a quicker turnaround time on the SI List, that is if someone knows the answer. Also I thought others may be in a similar situation and would find this information useful. Thanks, Peter -- Peter LaFlamme Applied Micro Circuits Corp.
