Ibrahim,

I am unsure of the minimum thickness of the dielectric needed to meet the
1500V hipot - sorry. If this is in regards to your Product Safety testing
(e.g. UL) then you are relying on a minimum thickness of the dielectric
between layers to meet isolation requirements. You and/or your contract
manufacturer may need to provide documentation during quarterly Follow-Up
Services inspections with each lot of fabricated boards guaranteeing that
minimum spacing. Check with you safety lab.

Jack

Subject: [SI-LIST] copper-to-copper separation

Hello si Gurus,
Anyone has a reliable data on what should be the copper-to-copper
separation for outer layers and inner layers (FR4) to run a 1500V
highpot test.

Thanks
Ibrahim Khan
