I concur ... really?
While I agree that there is a large amount of work being done in rather mundane
lower speed interfaces, from my experience even then TANSTAAFL. Qualified SI
consultants can up the game of almost any engineering department, whether or
not you have your own dedicated SI resources.
What you get from seasoned SI consultants is a breadth of experience that spans
multiple technologies, methods, and techniques. SI consultants bring a
different way of thinking to projects that greatly benefit companies that hire
them. Use them wisely. They will improve your products, educate your
engineering team, and become a part of your engineering development cycle.
