ECC is error detection and correction logic. If you are having problems with Ansoft it is likely because it is heavily exercising all of your memory, and your server / memory combination has signal integrity and/or power integrity problems. You could start by making sure that you have a high quality server, or server motherboard, that it is adequately powered and cooled, and that you have high quality memory DIMMs. If your building power quality is not very good, you may want to put power conditioning in front of the server power supply. Unreliable computers can be very painful. You have my sympathies. Good luck. Steve. At 10:11 PM 10/18/2006, xiaonew2 wrote: >Hi all, >What is the meaning of ECC.
