Ken,
Thanks a lot for your tip. Also thanks to all of you who responded. After
I ran ibis2signoise to translate the .ibs and .pkg models, the .dml files
were generated for both the models, and Device model had a reference to
the Package model. Only, it didn't show up as pin parasitic in the pin
data. As you indicated in your note, I was able to see the package model
in the subcircuit, when I simulated the net in SigXp.

Hi,

If the device-level IbisDevice model calls out the PackageModel,
and finds it in the library, then it will get used in the
simulation. If you want to double-check, you can run a sim in
SigXp, and go look at the spice file it generated in the
latest sigxp.run\case#\sim#\comps.spc file. You should see the
subcircuit in there.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Use of package model in SPECCTRAQuest

Hi SI experts,
A vendor has sent me a separate package model along with the IBIS model. =

When I converted the .ibs file to .dml file for SPECCTRAQuest, it =
inserted=20
the name of package model in the .dml model, but there was no package=20
model to be seen in the model library. Later, I translated the .pkg =
file=20
to another .dml file and now I can see the package model in the model=20
library with the same name contained in the buffer .dml file. However, =
I=20
am not sure if SPECCTRAQuest will use this package model during run =
time,=20
because the .dml file for buffer model still does not show any pin info. =

Am I doing something wrong here.
I will very much appreciate your help in this matter.=20
