Another good solution would be to hire someone who dealt with those issues
before.
My resume is up to date if any is interested.

Cadence has a good support team who can help with issues like this. The
catch is that you need a valid maintenance agreement. The specctraquest web
site also has a lot of info and doesn't need the maintenance agreement.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Use of package model in SPECCTRAQuest

Hi SI experts,
A vendor has sent me a separate package model along with the IBIS model.
When I converted the .ibs file to .dml file for SPECCTRAQuest, it inserted
the name of package model in the .dml model, but there was no package
model to be seen in the model library. Later, I translated the .pkg file
to another .dml file and now I can see the package model in the model
library with the same name contained in the buffer .dml file. However, I
am not sure if SPECCTRAQuest will use this package model during run time,
because the .dml file for buffer model still does not show any pin info.
Am I doing something wrong here.
I will very much appreciate your help in this matter.
