Hi Tom, But it is not too important to get the same energy over the measurement frequency range (after all, the energy in the TDR stimulus is hardly uniform over frequency). What is of primary importance is to have *sufficient* energy at the detector to overcome the noise (i.e. sufficient signal to noise ratio) at all frequencies of interest. I do agree of course that the DUT plays a huge part in how much energy reaches the detector.
