Hi all,

I have a question on using switches on differential lines.

An ethernet design is done for NIC (MDI) application. There are 2 pairs =
(1 Tx & 1 RX) of differential lines which on which signal speed is =
100Mbps.
Now we are thinking of giving MDIX option too so that both straight and =
cross cable can be used. For that we don't want to disturb the design =
except providing switches between magnetics and port to select differential=
 lines.
Also i have to ensure that there is no cross routing of transmit and =
receive signals.

Even after that will there be any signal integrity issues? Has anybody =
done this kind of design or do u know any product having switch option to =
select b/w MDI & MDIX?

Pls help.

Thanks
GowdaBPS
