Scott,
I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Steve's passing. My condolences
to his family and all who knew him.
I loved his SI/PI commentary and learned a lot from him, not the least of
which is respect for such a great scientific mind.
He will be sorely missed...

sad to say that Steve passed away some time last night.
Steve was a friend and a colleague to many of us. His technical
