Job Description
The Avago FOPD team is seeking an exceptional Senior EMC/EMI engineer. The
candidate should have solid understanding of EMC/EMI design fundamentals.
Major Responsibilities:
Setup and run EMC/EMI pre-compliance lab with near and far-field measurements
Work closely with design teams from concept to release, ensuring EMC compliance
Analyze EMC issues at schematic, PCB & system level and provide feedback to
electrical & mechanical design teams
Develop practical EMC design guidelines for PCB & enclosure design
Test alpha & beta designs, diagnose problems & recommend effective solutions
Work closely with SI team in making proper trade-offs between SI/PI and EMI
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
MS or PHD in electrical engineering with 5-10 yrs EMC design experience
Highly skilled in EMC design techniques for package, pcb and enclosure design
Highly skilled in EMC measurements and lab debug skills
Experience with EMI modeling tools like EMPro, Momentum, HFSS or SIWave
Proficiency with VNA, TDR, Scope measurements
Willingness to learn/try new ideas and come up with innovative solutions
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work effectively with
customers
