Uh, Steve,
   SPT is cable usually used for lighting or outlets. Lamp cord. Gauge 
between #20 and #10, insulation between .030 and .110 inch. It is 
available in a variety of colours including clear. The conductors are 
laid parallel, two or three across. Voltage up to 300 Volts.
   I suspect that the three conductor #10 is a pretty heavy cable. 
Wouldn't want to use it for the audio on my electric guitar!
