John,

Funny coincidence ... I needed exactly that while trying to optimize
component values for a design. Couldn't find it, so I wrote one.

"DividerCalc", as I call it, is restricted to a two resistor divider at =
the
moment. It takes an input voltage, a desired output voltage and an =
output
voltage tolerance (% or volts). It then allows you to select the use of =
the
5% or 1% resistor value tables for each of the two resistors. You can =
also
fix either resistor to a desired value (say you want the upper resistor =
to
be 10K). The program presents a table with every resistor combination =
that
produces an output voltage within the desired tolerance. The table can =
be
cut and pasted into Excel for further work.

Is this the sort of tool you need?
