I think what you are saying is the termination for the differential pair=0D= =0A is not at the last receiver. The end of the differential line is the=0D=0A termination, not the receiver(s). Where the termination is located does=0D= =0A not change timing as long as it's at the end of the line and there are=0D= =0A no reflections that would affect timing.=0D=0A =0D=0A Dennis=0D=0A =0D=0A =0D=0A =0D=0A -----Original Message-----=0D=0A From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]=0D= =0A On Behalf Of vani.chandrasekharan@xxxxxxxxx=0D=0A Sent: Monday, April 16, 2007 11:01 PM=0D=0A To: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=0D=0A Subject: [SI-LIST] Regarding differential termination=0D=0A =0D=0A =0D=0A =3D20=0D=0A Hi,=0D=0A =0D=0A I was going through a layout for differential signals, when I noticed=0D=0A that the stub for the termination from the receiver was as long as 500=0D= =0A mils or so. I thought if used at a high frequency this should matter.=0D=0A Kindly let me know your views.=0D=0A =0D=0A Will this stub affect timing, is it required the match the p and n=0D=0A lengths of the termination stub too?=0D=0A =0D=0A Thanks and warm regards,=0D=0A Vani=0D=0A =0D=0A =0D=0A The information contained in this electronic message and any attachments=0D= =0A to=3D this message are intended for the exclusive use of the addressee(s= )=0D=0A and=3D may contain proprietary, confidential or privileged information.=0D= =0A If you=3D are not the intended recipient, you should not disseminate,=0D= =0A distribute or=3D copy this e-mail.
