Hi Kedar,

Normally a wave launched through a trace tends to double at the receiver end
because of reflections. The reflection is a cause of mismatch between the
trace impedance and the input impedance of the receiver. I hope there is a
lot of information on this scattered all over the internet.

As a analogy, I would compare a matched trace to that of a sandy beach. The
waves hitting the beach is subdued by the sandy shore which is a sort of
matching. On the other hand a mismatched trace can be compared to that of a
rocky beach where the sea waves face a sudden and abrupt change as they hit
the shore. Hence it splashes as high as it can....

Regards,
Ismail,

Subject: [SI-LIST] Receiver End Signal

Hi SI GURUs

I am a new user of SI Tools so please coop up with me I am in a learning
process

so when I view any waveform for reflections in the tool I am getting sharper
edge on the receiver point than on the driver point
I am unable to understand this.
can any one tell me is it correct or where the problem may be
on that net the tracelength is exceeding the calculated one.

thanks in advance
