Mark,

Check pages 79-87 of High-Speed Signal Propagation - Advance Black Magic,
especially equation 2.65 on p. 87 for the distribution in the ground plane.

============================== Mark Burford wrote: Hi guys, I am trying to
model the proximity effect and ground plane return effects i.e. the way the
current bunches on the sides of lines near eachother and near the ground. So
far all I can find are tables from Dr Johnson's books for a given geometry.
So I am using an constant with which to multiply the R value of RCLG by to
account for the increased resistance. Does anyone know of a more accurate
wayof capturing this effect other than using 2D or 3D field solvers? cheers
