Hi John--

Roos Instruments has a generic ATE platform for production testing  
that I believe provides cable testing, including 4-port S-parameters  
up to 20 GHz. It's been a while since we've had contact with Mark, but  
check out his company's website - roos.com if you have not already  
started there.

I'd be interested in seeing your responses from here and other sources.
