Hello, I have had similar issues with large netlists in Hspice. I found that running the simulations on a Linux box with 16GBytes of 1333Mb DDR3 memory solved the issue. Since Windows XP can only access 3GB of memory (32 bits), it is very likely you are requesting more memory. You would have to go to Linux, etc., versus Windows 7, to be able to access more memory because even on a 64 bit Windows 7 system, the Hspice application is still run in 32 bit mode. Although, I believe Synopsys will be fixing this soon... Best regards, Steve Stephen P. Zinck High-Speed Signal Integrity Consulting Interconnect Engineering Inc. P.O. Hello all: I can't import my netlist into my hspice, when i did it, the Hspice would be no response state. The Hspice software would run all the time and make the cpu 100%. Is it because my .sp file too big? it is 15M. when i make my .sp file smaller, reduce component,Hspice can simulate correctly. So my Circuit description in .sp file should be ok. My Hspice version is <Hspice A-2008>. System is WinXP 32, 2G Memory. What is the problem? if I have to describe a huge circuit netlist, if the .sp netlist have to be so big, what can i do? Thanks a lot in advance. fangod 2010-09-26 ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List technical documents are available at: http://www.si-list.net List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List technical documents are available at: http://www.si-list.net List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
