Hi:

Unlike the ERROR messages of ISF2XTK which always require careful
consideration/correction, the WARNING and INFORMATIONAL messages can be
frequently ignored. Nonetheless, it is a good policy to review these
messages and determine what improvements can be made in the XTK simulation
files or the PCB database.

It seems to me that possible causes for the warning and informational
messages you have referred to are as follows:

1. Warning : "Zero segment length detected on line. segment ignored"
can occur when there is a very short net segment.

2. Informational message: "Network loop detected at pin "
can result when a trace begins and ends at the same coordinate
(pin).

3. Informational message: "pin overlaps via at (x,y)on net NET1"
may indicate that a through-hole pin is directly over a via.

4. The message: "missing segment (segment no) on NET1" may indicate that the
net has not been completely routed.

5. Warning: "overlapping pads detected" can occur when two SMT pads have
same coordinates.

6. Information message: "duplicate segments width are different" can be due
to a trace segment routed on top of another segment.

Many of the ISF2XTK error and warning messages are explained in XTK user
documents or release notes.

Abe Riazi
