Staff signal integrity engineer
Description
Electrical and signal integrity design of HP Enterprise storage disk drive
subsystems. Conduct electrical verification testing on high speed channel such
as FCAL and SAS. Perform channel analysis and simulation of 10+Gb/s high speed
SerDes. Guide system design effort in disk subsystem.
Responsibilities
Electrical validation of FCAL and SAS channels in disk drives and storage rack
subsystems
Perform channel analysis using both in house developed tools and external EM
tools
Guide routing and electrical design of storage subsystem PCB.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 6-10 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
Familiar with HSPCE or other highspeed I/O modeling tools.
Knowledge of multi-gigabit/s channel analysis methodologies.
Experience in EM tools such as HFSS or CST MWave Studio.
Experienced in high speed scopes, VNA and TDR measuring systems
Familiar with Allegro PCB design tools
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl is a plus
Knowledge of Matlab is a plus
