Hi all,

With regard to my previous message, I have to build a microstrip
antenna that has broadband characterisitcs. From some of the comments
I have received, I understand that quarter-wave matching does provide
a narrowband characteristic.

I would like to know, what types of patterns are useful when
designing a microstrip antenna (preferably smaller than 5cm x 5cm)
for the IEEE802.11a range.

I am currently looking into the bowtie patch, but I have no idea on
how I would feed it. I have attached a picture in a separate message
(named "picture of bowtie"). Any idea on what dimensions I should
use? I know that arbitrary values are useless. The permittivity and
the height of the substrate can be a suitable value of your choice.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Neil.
