Hi All, I am working on this PI tool from beta version of the first release and presented a paper on this tool in Mentor user forum held @ Bangalore. I have given many inputs and found bugs which I communicated to the team in earlier days, but unfortunately we don't have solution yet. Particularly this short problem I came across this 9 to 12 months before and because of that only they raised this SR I believe. But after that they had two releases and they also confirmed that it is solved in the recent releases. Based on this confirmation only my team has purchased this tool for our next project. But now also we are facing same issue, so I think there is a communication gap somewhere which Mentor needs to fill. As Steve Kaufer pointed if it is duly addressed in coming days we are happy. Thanks & Regards Lakshminarayanan. But luckily for HyperLynx users, the engineering manager (that would be me) watches customer feedback carefully, and adjusts plans as needed. I've seen a few similar reports recently from other users, so my development team was already investigating whether some quicker improvements can be made. Feel free to contact our support team, your AE, or me directly if you want to discuss further. That would be off-line, of course: although I admit that get a kick out of seeing competitor's software issues getting aired publicly, that's not really the purpose of this forum. Regards, Steve Kaufer, Director of Engineering, High-Speed Tools Mentor Graphics Corp. -----Original Message----- From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jiang, George Q Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2012 6:30 AM To: Ken Cantrell; balaseven@xxxxxxxxx; epd2001usa@xxxxxxxxxxx Cc: mfilion@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; manojkumarc@xxxxxxx Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: PI simulation "unrecoverable and unidentifiable" error with Hyperlinx 8.2 Here is Mentor's response; SR #: 2468331137 SR Description: LineSim combines Power Net with GND To view or update your SR, click here: http://supportnet.mentor.com/servicerequests/detail.cfm?SR=2468331137&snw_source=EXT3B DR/ER #: 00884269, Prior DR/ER #: DR/ER Description: Power nets are connected and will be combined to single net message in LineSim decoupling wizard DR/ER Status: Postponed (For definitions see http://supportnet.mentor.com/help/er_request.cfm) DR/ER Customer Note: Review Queue: Not included in the functional themes for the next release.
