This position is for a full time regular employee of McData Corp., and will=
 be located in our Santa Clara, CA facility.

Signal Intergity Engineer, Staff

Scope: Design, develope and debug high speed transmission lines in a=
 complex opto-electronic systems. Work with other engineers from various=
 disciplines and coordinates all phases of signal integrity project=
 implementation.=0D
Essential Functions=0D

=B7 Participates in electronics systems architecture and definition using=
 an understanding of electronic systems design options while taking cost,=
 performance and flexibility into consideration.=0D

=B7 Set up, run and analyze spice simulation of high-speed transmission=
 lines.=0D

=B7 Develops signal integrity module specifications. =B7 Guides board=
 layout designers in the implementation of state of the art high-speed=
 serial signals (up to 6Gbps).=0D

=B7 Participates in the review of designs completed by other engineers and=
 provides feedback on design strategies and implementation.=0D

=B7 Tests, measures and verifies hardware modules using electronic=
 measurement equipment and using diagnostic concepts to prove design=
 integrity.=0D

=B7 Interfaces with direct management, other members of the department,=
 Manufacturing, Software Engineering and Customer Support as well as=
 external Component vendors, CAD equipment and software vendors and=
 customers.=0D

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or=
 equivalent working experience.

Related Work Experience: 3-11 years in electronics design and development=
 with emphasis on signal integrity and high speed communications systems.

Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:=0D
Understands transmission line theory and has knowledge in high-speed=
 differential signaling.
Has experience in taking S parameter and TDR measurements and running spice=
 simulations.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
Must be able to creatively apply various concepts to design problems to=
 obtain optimum solutions within the design constraints. Able to consider=
 implications beyond those of immediate project.=0D
Requires familiarity with diagnostic concepts and use to prove design=
 integrity.
Ability to work independently yet seek advice and direction from others=
 when necessary.
Requires initiative, adaptability, planning and organizing skills.
