Dear all,

I would like to correct a typo in my earlier email.

" Lunix " should have been " Linux ".

Kind Regards,

For those interested in low cost PCB layout tools, I would like to add
that in a book entitled, " Build Your Own Printed Circuit Board " by Al
Williams the author writes highly of Eagle by CadSoft. He lists on page
190 several reasons for selecting Eagle for his book. The reasons
include: availability of a useful free version, relatively inexpensive
to upgrade, sophisticated schematic and autorouting features, extensive
part library, and capability to run on Windows or Lunix.

However, the examples illustrated in this book are limited to simple
single-sided or two layer boards. To explore advanced capabilities of
Eagle for high-speed design, treatment of ground and power planes, or
routing of differential pairs one needs to research other
documentations.
