With most sensitive equipment, a set of low insertion loss, high bandwidth DC blocks and bias tees are a must. You typically need them in sets of at least 2. I recommend 4 of each at a minimum. A spectrum analyzer is the best instrument for a LOT of measurements! (yeah!) BUT: Never connect DC to the input (even if it says it's OK...) Measuring power switching noise is mainly a coupling problem - how to connect the input to the SPA... any AC way will do, as long as the appropriate frequency is OK. I am sorry if this is a short reply, as I am writing a book on the subject presently, but I need to know some more specific parms to give better advice.... hehehe Best Greetings Jochen Feldhaar DH6FAZ Gary Thompson wrote: >Just inherited a spectrum analyzer from another design group.
