I just tested (in 2000.4) using
.option post probe
.probe dc v(......
And then using just post. As you mentioned above just using post increases
the signals. Sorry about that. But when I added the probe statement to the
.options line it worked to limit only signals mentioned in the .probe
statement. I only use the "mwaves" analyzer and do not look at signals in
the output listing. Maybe other versions other than 2000.4 have a problem.
