??? Voltage range is required and I assume 0.00 pF is a typo? Tom Dagostino Modeling Manager Mentor Graphics Corp. Since the 100ohm termination is between P and N, therefore, you do not need to define the voltage for it. I would rearrange it as following: [Model] rterm_100 Model_type Series C_comp 0.1pF 0.1pF 0.1pF [Voltage Range] 0.00pf NA NA [R Series] 100 80 120 I think this will do it. good luck, Kevin, -----Original Message----- From: Peter LaFlamme [mailto:plaflamm@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, July 25, 2002 8:09 AM To: si list Subject: [SI-LIST] LVDS RECEIVER IBIS MODEL=20 Hi All, I posed the question below to the ibis reflector and received a few = responses. I am unsure if any will work for sure. I figured that there may be people on the SI reflector that would have = knowledge of how to implement this. I appreciate any help you can offer. I had asked Bob Ross about = this a while ago and as usual he was very helpful. From his response I used the following implementation:=20 |**************************************************************** | Component: LVDSRCV |**************************************************************** | [Component] LVDSRCV [Manufacturer] AMCC |=20 |=20 | [Package] | variable typ min max R_pkg 1E-3 NA NA L_pkg 1E-9 NA NA C_pkg 1E-12 NA NA | [Pin] signal_name model_name R_pin L_pin C_pin 1 PAD lvdsrcv NA NA NA 2 PADN lvdsrcv NA NA NA |=20 [Series Pin Mapping] pin_2 model_name function_table_group 1 2 rterm_100 |=20 [Diff_pin] inv_pin vdiff tdelay_typ tdelay_min = tdelay_max |=20 1 2 0.2 0 0 0 [Model] rterm_100 C_comp 0.1pF 0.1pF 0.1pF Model_type Series |variable R(typ) R(min) R(max) [R Series] 100 80 120 [Temperature Range] 25.00 125.00 0.00 [Voltage Range] 1.800 1.650 1.950 *************************************************************************= *************** I was able to get the model past the IBIS checker but my simulations did = not show the 100 ohm terminator. I was using a tool which I believe does not support this = implementation (no need to mention names). I have seen other implementations where I = believe a "Dynamic clamp" is used to model the termination behavior, but I am = unsure. Can anyone guide me to some reference material or weigh in with your experience or = help. ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List archives are viewable at: =20 //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages=20 Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu =20 ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
