Job Overview
The candidate will work in Qualcomm Package Electrical Group to provide
electrical design expertise in the areas of signal integrity and power
integrity. You will work with package design and IC design engineers to seek
ways to optimize the overall package design. Your immediate responsibility is
working with substrate designers to make sure all design aspects are met for
the system level requirements. You are expected to communicate constantly with
Phy designers and PCB designers to understand inter-dependencies and update the
design guidelines. Working effectively across multiple organizations is
essential and providing timely feedback and documentation to the team is
critical. The position offers the opportunity to work on the package and system
design of high performance mobile devices. - Perform package extraction for the
time domain and frequency domain analysis - Perform system-level analysis for
SerDes & Mixed signal interfaces in 3G/4G communication standards - Provide
design guidelines for the package/PCB design - Provide feedback to Phy, package
PCB designers. - Develop design & analysis flow and automate the process -
Create technical documentation and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in DDR/SerDes package/PCB/System Design related to
3G/4G standards - Experience in circuit simulation tools such as ADS and Hspice
- Experience in field solvers such as HFSS, Q3D and Sentinel-PSI - Experience
in Electromagnetics and solid background on transmission line theory -
Experience in S-parameter extraction and simulation - Working knowledge in
Cadence Allegro/APD/Sip - Experience in c/c++ or Perl/Python.
