Hi Yuriy: Is there anything in particular that stands out to you about Young's book? (Something it covers well that's unique and different?) Young, Digital signal integrity: Modeling and simulation with interconnects and packages, Prentice Hall PTR, 2001. Note, that the digital interconnects are just planar waveguiding structures with the complications imposed by the signal bandwidth and manufacturing technology. To understand the fundamentals of the subject I can recommend to start with the theory of transmission lines and the relevant parts of the microwave theory (assuming that you already have good understanding of the circuit theory): C. Paul, Analysis of Multiconductor Transmission Lines, Wiley-IEEE, 2007. F. Gardiol, Microstrip circuits, John Wiley & Sons,1994. D.M. Pozar, Microwave engineering, John Wiley & Sons, 1998. S. Ramo, J.R. Whinnery, T. Van Duzer, Fields and waves in communication electronics, John Wiley & Sons, 1994. I am an ~15 yrs ASIC Electrical Engineer (primary in digital area and small exposure to analog/mixed design) who is recently jumping into signal integrity project that will be "applying" the SI concepts on transmission line to analyze IO behavior, impedance analysis, eye-diagram analysis, dc/ac behavior of its spice simulation...etc. I am looking for an "applied" SI book that is fundamental and easy to understand for EE person like me. I found a forum that recommended this intro book: "Electromagnetics for Engineers" by Fawwaz T. Ulaby Has anybody read that book and can validate if it's a good starting point book for me? Or maybe there is a better book out there for me? Thank you very much for your help on this.
