Hi Si Gurus
I was wondering that is the inductance of PCB trace over a ground plane. Is
inductance changes logarithmic with width or is inversely proportionally.
These sites shows formulas which say
loghttp://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p9477&seqNum=9
http://www.daycounter.com/Calculators/Microstrip-Inductor-Calculator.phtml
whereas this says inversely
http://www.technick.net/public/code/cp_dpage.php?aiocp_dp=util_inductance_trace_g
  .
May be they take different assumption? what can somebody explain to me what is
the assumption?Book i am reading shows derivation of this formula assuming
distance from plane is much less than width of the trace which is simmillar to
assumption mentioned in link with formula with log version.
ThanksPiyhatt
