Brian, you have a good memory! A quick search on google eventually led me to Roy's list in the SI-List archives, here: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu/si-list2/pre99/2068.html I've included a couple of possible E-Mail IDs for Roy - if we are lucky, we will get an update. Roy's list must be one of the longest, but I believe the original thread's request was for recommendations. Even so, recommendations will only get you so far and my own recommendation is, after reading reviews and listening to opinions to satisfy your own personal preference, and nothing beats picking a book up and browsing. You should soon tell if a particular book feels right for you. Even better if you can borrow one from a colleague. You could try a good bookshop, although finding one with a good selection for a specialised subject like ours is much easier said than done. Here in England I highly recommend foyles on Tottenham court road, London. They have a wide selection, although somewhat strangely organised (alphabetically by publisher ?). Blackwells in Oxford used to also have a good selection, but I've not been for a few years. However, even these two will, at best, probably carry a small selection of the very specialist high speed digital design books we are after. You could also try looking on line - I use amazon, but there are no doubt many others. The trouble is that one book has links to others and you can be there for hours. I maintain a large (and ever growing) spreadsheet 'wish list' of books, both work related and otherwise. To all, happy hunting. - Mark. -----Original Message----- From: arsenault, brian [mailto:arsenault_brian@xxxxxxx] Sent: None To: 'istvan.novak@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'; hmurray@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; farshadsarabchi@xxxxxxxxx Cc: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: I'm looking for a book on high-speed PCB design Date: Mon, 19 Jan 2004 11:43:12 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2656.59) Content-type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-archive-position: 9972 X-ecartis-version: Ecartis v1.0.0 Sender: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Errors-To: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx X-original-sender: arsenault_brian@xxxxxxx Precedence: normal Reply-To: arsenault_brian@xxxxxxx X-list: si-list I also recall from year's past a book list from Roy Levanthal. It was broken out into more than 10 categories. I wonder if he ever updated that? I think this was back in around 2000. Brian This email is for the intended addressee only.
