Hi Joel--
Sounds like you need to run your characterization for a longer time to let all
the reflections settle out to get an accurate characterization of the channel.
Mentor Customer Support has a lot of experience with walking customers through
IBIS-AMI issues; I would suggest giving them a call.

Subject: [SI-LIST] IBIS-AMI simulation questions

I am new at this, have used Hspice in the past, currently using Hyperlynx.
Why does my eye look the same at 1 GBPS and 6 GBPS?

What does this error mean:

Must have longer pulse response falling to level where it starts.

What should I be looking for in the channel pulse and step response?

Thanks - Joel
