Hi Joel-- Sounds like you need to run your characterization for a longer time to let all the reflections settle out to get an accurate characterization of the channel. Mentor Customer Support has a lot of experience with walking customers through IBIS-AMI issues; I would suggest giving them a call. --Pat -----Original Message----- From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joel Brown Sent: Tuesday, March 18, 2014 12:59 PM To: SI-List Subject: [SI-LIST] IBIS-AMI simulation questions I am new at this, have used Hspice in the past, currently using Hyperlynx. Why does my eye look the same at 1 GBPS and 6 GBPS? What does this error mean: Must have longer pulse response falling to level where it starts. What should I be looking for in the channel pulse and step response?
