Sanjay , You would have to convert the voltages in the V-t table to a scaling coefficient table (K-t) so that at the beginning of the V-t table the coefficient is zero and at the end it is one. You need to solve for two unknowns using two equations to do this for the two rising and the two falling waveforms. One turns on the PU I-V table and off the PD I-V table for the rising waveforms, and the other way around for the falling waveforms. Then using the input stimulus signal you trigger these K-t tables every time there is a transition on the stimulus. I was able to do this with the controlled sources in HSPICE to prove the concept of IBIS modeling before the specification was first written. But I am not sure whether you have everything you need to do this in Berkeley-SPICE or NGSPICE. It wasn't easy in HSPICE either... Using Verilog-A or VHDL-AMS would be easier in some ways because those languages support events and the related features much better than the E,F,G,H sources in SPICE. You can read about this a little bit in the first part of this presentation: http://www.eda.org/ibis/summits/jun03b/muranyi1.pdf I hope this helps, Arpad ==================================================================== -----Original Message----- From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Sanjay G Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2014 12:26 AM To: info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: si-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: IBIS to behavioral SPICE conversion I am sorry, you got me wrong.. Kindly assume that I do not have access to Hspice tool. I want to use only open-source spice simulator Berkley spice or ngspice. This is not about IBIS to hspice conversion. this is about IBIS to behavioral-spice model conversion. I was thinking to use VCCS (in PWL format) for V-I table data. but what to do with V-t table data? But if you must then try converting to HSPICE then from their tweak the code for Berkeley SPICE. Hope that helps.
