Guy,

You can send your model to Lynne Greene at cadence and she will forward it to
the IBIS model review board for a confidential review of your model in various
EDA tools.

The ICX IBIS parser is slightly different than the IBIS committee parser. The
ICX parser requires a couple of things that are optional in IBIS and allows a
few minor changes from what is required in the IBIS spec. If the the ICX
modeling guide specifies something different than what ICX actually does then
please tell customer support. If the ICX modeling guide says something
different than the IBIS spec then it is because they are different.

If ICX GetInfo reports "noc" for a pin model then you have missed a step in
getting the model assigned. Check to see if the component model is assigned to
the part by running GetInfo on the part instance. If that is as expected then
look at the pin name in the design and the pin name in the IBIS file to see
that they are exactly the same (except for case). A common error is that A01
is not equal to A1.

Good luck,
Weston

Help,

I am new to using SI tools and am working pretty much alone and in a vacuum.
I have a simple request, where can I get example component IBIS files to
verify that those I created are correct? I worked from the IBIS document
and the Mentor model guide (which has a few errors). My issue is that the
files arrear to be ok but the tool (ICX) returns a noc to the GETINFO
command.

I'm also a little frustrated with ACTEL. I cannot get them to tell me a
dynamic overshoot/undershoot specification for the 54SX-S parts. The answers
I have gotten so far are that the max limit is the limit. I'm sure that
isn't correct.
