[SI-LIST] How to explain reflection in circuit?

Hi, expert
In RF Circuit or signal integrity text book, it tell us if the load impedance
do not equal transmission line charateritic impedance,the reflection will occur.
But how did we explain this reflection in the aspect of wave?
Did the resistor show himself a boundary condition?
Could some recommand some documents or text book on this subject?
