Subject: [SI-LIST] How to Model wires

Dear colegues,

I have the challenge to model two boards with connectors and 10 meter Wire
in between.

Further no information except component spec.

Can anyone tell me if there are general rules for connectors so I can put an
s-paramater model/ spice equivalent circuit based on mechanical information
like Pin length and Pin distance.

And then the Twisted pair wire in between. Are there sides that have models
for cables. Use the characteristic impedance as a base? But what is the loss
over such a long distance and the cross talk between the cabels? And the
only thing I have is mechanical information and the just mentioned
Impedance.

I have some ideas but I think you have better. Experience with htis

Thanks in advance,

Laury
