Hello All,

The following is a proposed stackup for a design with high voltage (300VDC)
and lower voltages (3.3V, 5V) on the same pcb.

Layer 1 - low voltage signals A
Layer 2 - low voltage ground plane
Layer 3 - low voltage signals B
Layer 4 - +3.3V/+5V split plane
Layer 5 - low voltage ground plane
Layer 6 - high voltage signals
Layer 7 - high voltage ground plane
Layer 8 - high voltage signals

The concern is dealing with the split power on layer 4 without adding
additional layers. Would it be best to simply move the +5V to layer 5 to
eliminate the split? The low and high voltage ground planes are connected
via a low value resistor. The two different grounds could be combined while
still restricting the routing to layer pairs 1-3 and 6-8.

Best Regards,

Pat Sharkey
