Hello *,

maybe someone has some expericence / expectation on this question.
In the USB2 Spec for the HSIC Strobe there are Keepers with 20uA-70uA
defined.
There is an ECN that would define this more accurate, but it the spec is
not updated so far (not sure if this ECN is "official" already).

I think 20 uA is quite low in order to work for a long living reliable
system. A high frequency probe with an input resistance of 25k can
introduce already enough leakage to trigger a reset on the interface by
pulling strobe low during tristate.
I'm not sure, but humidity, whiskers or just degratation over time might
cause a 25k Ohm resistive path to GND what would cause trouble.

Does anybody have experience / an opinion on this if this 20 uA will be
OK over time to ensure a stable system ?

thanks and regards

Hermann
