??Hi,
It might be off-topic, but some of you might have face this in the past.

I need to design a FLEX-PCB with FR-4 stiffener that is IPC Class-3/A
compliant. I need to connect a thru-hole encoder to a PCB. The Encoder has a 50
mils pitch pin and the PCB connection is done with a 1mm FPC ZIF connector.

On the Encoder side, I need an FR-4 stiffener to keep mechanical strength.

Can I avoid the rigid-flex approach and go with a simple 1 layer FLEX PCB and
still be IPC Class 3/A compliant?

Thanks!
