??Hi, It might be off-topic, but some of you might have face this in the past. I need to design a FLEX-PCB with FR-4 stiffener that is IPC Class-3/A compliant. I need to connect a thru-hole encoder to a PCB. The Encoder has a 50 mils pitch pin and the PCB connection is done with a 1mm FPC ZIF connector. On the Encoder side, I need an FR-4 stiffener to keep mechanical strength. Can I avoid the rigid-flex approach and go with a simple 1 layer FLEX PCB and still be IPC Class 3/A compliant? Thanks!
