As Steve notes, I saw this mistake many times.  Even had a client or two who 
went out of business because of this error.  One FPGA vendor surrendered a 
large part of its market to a competitor by clinging to this misconception 
for far too long.

You might be surprised to learn how many times that mistake was made
over the years especially in the 80's and 90's.  Lee saw it and had to
fix it many times, usually by just removing the inappropriately applied
beads.
