It is interesting that a pure theoretical question put to the board design
community prompts unexpected answers. Indeed we do have a patent on this,
and if the patent was issued inadvertently, it is a problem that will be
solved on a case-by case basis.
My question is about the "loosely" and "strongly" coupled differential
pairs, and if their nature will interact with the device under
discussion...and how?
Basically we have two capacitors in the same body with controlled coupling
between them and we try to figure out what characteristic impedance fits
better the needs, or what other things may matter.
George
