Below are the job descriptions for the role:
Title: High Speed Applications Engineer
As a High Speed I/O Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for
providing support for Altera's components, tools, and intellectual property
focused on high speed I/O technologies.
This support includes creating technical manuals and checkout for new gigabit
transceiver equipped Altera devices.
You will be providing expert assistance in high speed system solutions for
Altera devices and our IP solutions, and resolving component and tools issues
in a timely and complete manner to ensure a successful design experience with
Altera products.
The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:
* BSEE or equivalent
* Experience in Verilog HDL/VHDL, Visual C++/Visual Basic, TCL, functional
simulation/hardware correlation, and hardware lab bring up
* Analytical with strong written and verbal communication skills
* Able to create customer facing documentation like handbooks, Application
Notes with reference designs
* Useful to have knowledge of signal integrity (T-line, crosstalk, Power
Distribution Networks)
* Useful to have Protocol knowledge and experience debugging high speed systems
such as PCIe Gen2/Gen3, Interlaken, SFI-S, 10GBase-R (40G/100G) systems
* Useful to have practical experience with high speed test equipment's (Scopes,
BERTs, Spectrum Analyzers)
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education: Should have a minimum of Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering
discipline and 3+ years of experience.
