The keynote speaker at PCB East 2002 was Dr. Henri Merkelo, Director Ultrahigh Speed Digital Electronics, atSpeed Technologies Corporation. He gave an interesting presentation showing how absorption losses in dielectrics could result in eye diagrams that were virtually closed. But, with the addition of basic RC equalization circuits, the losses could be compensated for, and normal eye diagrams restored. Can anyone refer me to other articles or presentations that are available on the web that discuss this type of issue? I'd like to learn more about it.
