Just a note:

There is a technical paper from the University of Missouri-Rolla on the 20-H
Rule scheduled to be presented at the IEEE EMC Symposium in Montreal on
August 16. I don't know anything about the contents of the paper.

distance

Dear SI Colleagues:

Please realize that the so called 20-H rule is a "Rule of Thumb" and that
it is not a real engineering derived design rule except for the specific
problem someone worked out when the rule was first derived. If you want to
use it, then so be it, but recognize that other factors can overwhelm the
benefits, so use it with care.

Sincerely,

ed sayre
