Department Description: The RF Division (RFD) is the global leader for
RF power semiconductor solutions for the wireless infrastructure

Scope of Responsibilities and Expectations:=20

Main responsibilities include the electromagnetic simulation of circuits
and components used within our high-power transistors. Modeling work
requires electromagnetic simulation, microwave characterization, model
development and implementation of the final model within a non-linear
circuit simulator.  The position will concentrate on the electromagnetic
simulation of passive circuit elements for the development of
product-level models and models used within our design process. The
position will require the individual to work closely with design
engineers, product engineers, and application engineers for successful
and timely model delivery.

Specific Knowledge/Skills: Candidate will hold a minimum of a BS degree;
MS preferred in electrical engineering, physics or related technical
field and have a minimum of 1 year direct experience with
electromagnetic simulation and microwave measurement.  The engineer must
also have a strong background in Microwave and RF engineering with an
emphasis on several of the following areas:

*       Detailed knowledge and experience with Ansoft's High Frequency
Structure Simulator (HFSS) and planar electromagnetic solvers (Sonnet's
Em and/or Agilent's Momentum).
*       Microwave measurement techniques (Pulsed S-parameter and DC
measurement, S-parameters, VNA calibration techniques, spectrum
analyzers, power meters, etc).
*       Strong background knowledge with Agilent's Advanced Design
System (ADS).=20
*       Strong communication skills.
