Tim,

I think your best bet is to export DXF file for each layer in Orcad
layout, and then rebuild the "lost" z-direction in the 3D modeler of
Ansoft tools.

There is an appnote called "How to import DXF and GDS files" available
on Ansoft's online tech support site www.ansoft.com/ots

Best regards,
Mike

Subject: [SI-LIST] Converting Orcad to Ansoft

All,
I wonder does any one in the si-list have any experience in converting
Orcad
layout files into Ansoft HFSS or SI3D? I wonder is there a way to do so?
Does any one know there exists a software will do this conversion?

Thanks,
Tim Pak
