Comp.arch.fpga is a more appropriate forum for non-SI/PI FPGA questions.

You need a memory device with enough storage space for your bitstream 
and hardware that can access that device, and feed the bitstream to the 
FPGA.  There are many solutions out there that vary by how well they 
address specific needs.  For V6 start with Xilinx support document UG360.
