[SI-LIST] Bus length

How far can I expect to be able to run a 24bit 165MHz bus (not differential)
on FR4? This is for an FPGA (XC2V1000) to DVI transmitter (Silicon Image
SiI-164) bus?
What if I needed to have the FPGA and DVI transmitters on different boards?
I'm specifying SAMTEC high-speed connectors.
I'm looking for what's attainable with a reasonable effort by an experienced
PCB layout engineer rather than using extensive
modelling/simulation/prototype/test iterations.
